Lucas is a city in Russell County, Kansas. Folk artist Samuel P. Dinsmoor lived and died there. Beginning in 1907 he built a limestone cabin home and the concrete sculptural Garden of Eden, with more than 150 statues. The Garden is a museum in Lucas and is on the National Register.
